"After buying a house we decided to convert a large integral garage into a lounge and build a new bathroom and we were extremely fortunate to find Baxter and Baxter to carry out this work for us. They found and fixed numerous little problems with the house throughout the work without any additional cost. They also pointed out some more serious defects to us and were able to rectify these before anything serious happened (such as the water storage tank falling through the ceiling as it was precariously supported by 5mm plywood!).
I came home from work one day to find Marcus using white spirit to remove paint from some cupboard hinges I had inadvertently painted on the day before. I asked him what he was doing as once the cupboard doors were on no-one would ever see those hinges again! "Yes", he replied, "but I'll know, and I can't have that." It was then that I realised just how incredibly lucky we were to have found such a perfectionist for a builder!
We have since left the country and our tenants informed us that an office roof added by a previous owner had started letting water through. We contacted Baxter and Baxter straight away and they instantly went over and fixed all of the problems for us, even painting and weather shielding the outside of the building. As ever the work was on time and at the exact cost quoted, despite finding an extra piece of leadwork that needed replacing too. It's an incredible relief to know builders you can trust when you're living across the other side of the planet and it has removed a lot of stress from our emigration experience. I can't recommend them highly enough."

"Baxter & Baxter have carried out work for me over a period of time, the largest of which being complete refurbishment of my current bungalow. The work included taking down walls, changing all internal doors, fitting a utility room and two bathrooms, creating fitted wardrobes, changing all light fittings, decorating throughout and laying patio, paths and block paving to driveway. Recently they have been responsible for the installation of a modern shower in an existing ensuite bathroom. They provided both professional advice and helpful recommendations. The quality of the materials used and the workmanship was of the highest standard and was carried out to a tight time-frame by qualified workmen.
